Here at Classic Driver, we see a lot of different collector cars over the week, so when an auction like Dorotheum’s upcoming Classic Cars sale on July 1st comes along, bursting with interesting lots, it really gets us excited. Of course, there are the usual poster cars, like a lovely Porsche 930 Turbo and Ferrari Testarossa Monospecchio, but there are also plenty of weird and wild wheeled wonders to captivate your imagination. Starting with the unusual specs, there’s a gorgeous Cactus Green Pearl B5-generation Audi S4 and a Portorose Metallic Audi Urquattro that might take your fancy.
Then things get slightly weirder, with a 1990 VW Golf Country Synchro going under the hammer alongside a Renault 5 Turbo 2 and a 1968 Fiat Abarth 695 SS. However, perhaps the weirdest listing of them all must be the 1964 Amphicar 770, a truly rare sight and possibly the perfect automotive companion for your summer holidays. We’re just scratching the surface, though, so we highly encourage you to take a look at the full auction for yourself!
